Follow these steps to complete installation of the OpenSRS Sitelock module for use with WHMCS. A downloadable PDF version of the guide is attached to this article.
Download the latest version of the Sitelock WHMCS module here.
Extract and upload to your WHMCS application.
Extract the file and drop the modules folder in the root directory of your WHMCS installation.
Log into WHMCS Admin interface to complete setup.
Visit the setup tab > Products/Services > Product/Services.
Create the Sitelock service as an "orderable" product.
Please note: A product can only be placed within a group, please ensure you’ve created a group prior to this step.
Fill out the form.
In this example, our group is called OpenSRS Services and we will be naming the product Sitelock.
Configure the Details, Pricing, and other other applicable fields to suit your business.
For the sake of this tutorial, we will direct our focus to the Module Settings tab.
Press the dropdown titled Module Name.
Because we’ve previously installed the Sitelock module to our WHMCS installation. So now we are given the option to select Opensrs_sitelock.
If this option is not available to you, please re-visit the steps 1 & 2 of this guide.
Enter your OpenSRS username and API key in the fields that appear.
To obtain your API key and whitelist your server’s IP follow the guide here.
Please note: For Test Mode, the API key is obtained from https://manage.test.opensrs.com
The Type Field refers to the Sitelock service this WHMCS product creates. Ideally, if you’d like to offer more than one type of Sitelock service you would create multiple WHMCS products.
Currently the module supports:
- Find & Fix
- Find, Fix & Prevent
Please note: Currently, Sitelock orders cannot be placed in the OpenSRS Test Environment
Click Save Changes. Your Sitelock product is now ready for order!
