Pilot testing email anti-spam solution

A new anti-spam solution is being tested for the Hosted Email platform. It provides high-level email security by dramatically reducing inbound email spam, phishing, and malware. It also helps prevent outbound spam and IP blacklisting. Our new, intelligent email security system uses open-source technology.

We encourage you to enable the new anti-spam solution, and we welcome any feedback you may have. Feedback such as bugs, false-positives, and issues can be sent to us via spamtest@hostedemail.com.

This phase's main objective is to give you the chance to use the tool and gather your feedback.

Anti-spam solution frequently asked questions

What are the scores for the corresponding spam level threshold settings?

The spam level threshold setting does not apply in the pilot testing. Scores over 9.00 are considered spam for all users.

Does moving messages from inbox to spam folder or vice versa train your new system?

Moving messages between inbox and spam will train the new system. At this time, it isn’t configured to do so automatically. We plan to automate this process in the future. We are collecting reports for training purposes. Users should continue to move or report messages so that we can improve behaviour.

Why are the message headers different?

We no longer display the spam scan summary for the purpose of preventing abuse. The new anti-spam solution adds four new headers: X-Spam-Status, X-Rspamd-Server, X-Rspamd-Queue-Id and X-Stat-Signature.

The only new header relevant to resellers is the X-Spam-Status header, which provides the new spam score.

How do your blacklists work, and how does the new solution relate to blacklists?

Blacklists are not directly related to the new anti-spam solution. With the new solution, we are provided new insights about IP addresses that should be blocked or not and can act accordingly.
